I don’t think I know any politicians that like the fundraising aspect of our job. But the truth is it is necessary for success, especially in competitive races.

What do we use the money for? In the months before an election, it’s to get our name and message out. Communication with voters through mail, digital advertising, ad space, and events costs money. And studies show that it takes at least seven touches with the average voter to remember a candidate at all. The further down the ballot a candidate finds themself, the more touches it takes. Those down ballot races— think Attorney General, SOS, State House, State Senate, County Commission, etc— have great impact on voters’ every day lives.

If you want to make a difference this election cycle, invest in flippable seats!

Obviously you can give directly to candidates through their websites. I’ve done a lot of that this cycle.

But another fun way to give is by attending a fundraiser. Grab some bites and your beverage of choice, meet and mingle with like-minded attendees, and hear directly from the candidates you are investing in.

I’m co-hosting several fundraisers in the coming weeks. All of these candidates are fantastic. Some will flip a valuable seat from red to blue with the proper support, and others will hold on to vulnerable Dem gains. Please join me at any or all of the following events.

We flipped this seat recently, breaking the Republican chokehold on the PSC. He’s making a huge difference. Let’s keep him on the PSC, fighting for everyday Georgians. Location in Druid Hills.

Saturday, September 12: Beth Fuller for State House District 53

This seat is crucial in our quest to flip the Georgia House of Representatives- and Beth is an incredible candidate.

Tuesday, September 29: Re-Elect Rep. Tangie Herring

Rep. Herring hold one of the most vulnerable Dem seats in the Georgia House. We must keep her seat in order to flip the House
